If you feel like your hair just will not grow, a common complaint among women, then we have some very good news thanks to this innovative new ‘hair training program’. If you’re after a voluminous mane of your own, you’ll be ecstatic to hear that the hair gods at Kérastase have developed a number of products specifically to promote healthy hair growth.
Kérastase Résistance Extentioniste includes a shampoo, conditioner, mask and serum all of which are designed to be used together in the quest for strong, long locks. The range is described as daily boot camp for hair as it “strengthens the hair from root to tip” and includes a specially-formulated combination of Creatine R Complex, the amino acid Taurine and Maleic Acid. These three ingredients together reinforce the structure and surface of the hair fibre while maintaining shine, elasticity and most importantly, strength, which means new hair growth is healthier than ever before. Read on to discover how we use the collection as a full routine.

Step 1: Shampoo
Cleanse your locks with the new Kérastase Resistance Bain Extentioniste as the first step in your hair regime. Not only does this shampoo smell amazing, it really does give the hair body, shine, and incredible volume. It’s great for brides-to-be who want beautifully glossy locks without compromising on hair health. The shampoo targets weakened strands to build up their internal structure for a stronger and smoother finish.
Step 2: Condition
There can be a concern when using conditioner that it will only weigh the hair down and cause it to become oilier faster. The Kérastase Resistance Fondant Extentioniste however feels incredibly lightweight, and when used on the mid-lengths to the ends of the hair leaves them super soft without compromising on volume. Fortified with a blend of unique ceramides and maleic acid, it works to strengthen the hair fibre from the inside out so it stays stronger for longer and protected against environmental aggressors.
Step 3: Mask
You only need to use the hair mask once or twice a week depending on your hair type. Finer and oilier hair types will benefit from using about once a week, while drier, curlier hair types will benefit from twice a week.
The Kérastase Resistance Masque Extentioniste is a unique mask in that it contains both creatine R and maleic acid which help to repair broken bonds within the hair’s natural structure to improve its strength and elasticity. Not only that, the mask is a more concentrated scent of the shampoo for hair that smells as good as it looks and feels.
Step 4: Treat
Perhaps the most innovative product in the Kérastase Resistance Extentioniste collection is the Serum. It’s a unique leave-in hair serum that can be used on both dry and wet hair (we love to use it directly after a shower so that it absorbs fully after blow-drying), and helps to restore damaged fibres.
The highly concentrated formula helps to shield the hair against damaging environmental aggressors as it forms a defence barrier over the scalp while also removing impurities and excess dirt. As such, it’s great for people with finer hair that want more volume, as it works to restore balance.
Are you looking to reinforce the health and beauty of your hair? Or simply looking for longer length hair? Then the three-month Kérastase Résistance Extentioniste “training program is for you!
